Je buvais à l'Arraché, un verre de Martini Dry. C'était un endroit palpitant où un seul disque passait: le Velvet Underground. Parfois des danseuses aux hanches nostalgiques berçaient nos désillusions. Nos griefs. Un grand black jouait du saxo, la serveuse scrutait l'état de ses ongles en attendant qu'on la paie. Elle avait des longs cheveux noirs qui trempaient dans les verres. On pouvait encore fumer du bon tabac blond. Un jour un type ivre voulut changer de disque. Il brisa le Velvet. Plus tard, un seul disque allait hanter la salle: c'était Abba. Je me souviens de cette jeune fille au lourd mascara et aux yeux verts, sirotant son vin sur la disco. Je me souviens de ce petit matin fiévreux où l'on s'est éveillé, elle et moi, avec des rubans d'alcool parfumant nos langues. On avait des avalanches de paupières. Elle plaça un vinyle sur la platine. Faith. Ce basculement du bruyant au silence, du mauvais goût au plaisir pur, je le ressens avec Summer Camp. Alors, laissons-les nous guider dans leur petite cinémathèque amoureuse. Ils me donneront cette impression forte d'alcool blanc, de romances déglinguées, de fantaisies et de rêves salvateurs.

1. Annie Hall by Woody Allen

It's the most truthful representation of a relationship in our opinion - plus it's hilarious and features the Marx Brothers joke, "Why would I want to be a part of any club that would have me as a member?".

2. Spirited Away by Hayao Miyazaki.

This film is just pure escapism. It's about falling into an impossible world - and you see it through the eyes of a total innocent, so it's like experiencing it yourself. The animation is beautiful, too.

3. Midnight Cowboy by John Schlesinger

The friendship between Joe Buck and Rizzo has that love/hate dynamic down perfectly. They mistreat each other but in the end they realise how much they need their friendship. The film paints a harrowing and
bleak portrait of late 60's New York, but the outstanding performances of Dustin Hoffman and Jon Voigt balance the darkness.
